Japanese food VS Western food

Nowadays, Japanese food restaurant has increased rapidly and it is attracted all over the world. It is registered Intangible cultural heritage in 2013. Which food do you like?

(1)Health
When we compare Japanese food and Western food for health, Japanese food is healthier. Western food is very fatty because it uses butter and meat and oil and so on. And it is very high calorie. For example, corn soup is 150kcal. But miso soup is only 53kcal. Japanese food doesn't use fatty like butter and meat. So, it is good to diet and prevent us from suffering from a lifestyle-related disease.

(2)Taste
Compared with the taste, Western food is more delicious. You can enjoy various taste. Because it uses sauce and mayonnaise and ketchup and so on. But the taste of Japanese food is very simple to enjoy the material original taste. So, it uses only seasonings like soy sauce and miso and salt drawing the food's natural taste.


(3)Balance
Compared with the nutritional balance, Japanese food is the winner. It has the form called a soup and three simple plates to get various nutrition. But western food contain animal protein and fatty like meat and butter and so on. So, Japanese food has the high nutritional value.
